About Us
Meet Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m a children and family counsellor based in Cooroy with a background in psychology and counselling, and I’m currently working towards my Master’s in Clinical Psychology. As a mum of two, I get how parenting can be both joyful and challenging, it’s what inspired me to create a space where families can feel safe, supported, and connected.
At Cooroy Therapy, I combine evidence-based practices with creative approaches like play therapy and mindful movement. My goal is to help kids explore their emotions, give parents practical tools to strengthen family bonds so everyone can thrive.
Meet Nancy
Hi, I’m Nancy! I’m a counsellor for children, adolescents, and women, with experience supporting families. I hold a Master of Counselling, am trauma-informed, and have a background as a Social Worker in the Netherlands. I offer therapeutic support for children and adolescents through play and sensory-based approaches to help with emotional expression, regulation, and grounding. I also support women in a safe, compassionate space to navigate anxiety, grief, and family changes, with optional creative approaches such as art or clay.
As a mum of three adolescents, I understand the challenges families face and provide a supportive environment for children, parents, and women to reflect and grow. You are welcome to book a free 15-minute introductory session to see if I’m the right fit for you or your family.
Our Approach
We believe that emotional well-being starts with the brain. Our therapy approach is rooted in neuroscience, child development, and attachment, helping children and teens regulate emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills for life.
We understand that children don’t always have the words to express their feelings. That’s why we use a whole-brain approach, engaging both the right brain (emotional, creative, sensory-based) and the left brain (logical, problem-solving, verbal processing) to create lasting change.
